After experiencing some technical issues on May 3rd Seattle Foundation has extended the #GiveBIG deadline until midnight May 4th. The loading may be slow, yet we discovered persistence yesterday paid off as we left off last night with 37 donors and $8,745 our of our $30,000 matching grant or about 29% – so we can do this! Since it is International Star Wars Day today as we add this thought from a wise man.
DO or DO not, there is no try. – Yoda
“May the 4th be with you” and all Seattle NonProfits today as we head into day two of our community coming together to GiveBIG and Make An Impact. We can reach our matching grant – we can DO THIS!
GiveBIG is part of the Seattle Foundation’s giving strategy to invest in the future of Greater Seattle. A one-day, online charitable giving event, GiveBIG is designed to raise money for our region’s hard-working nonprofits, like Freedom Project Seattle.
This is our moment to work and give together – donations large and small – making our great community healthier and more vibrant for all. This online event is designed to raise money so that nonprofit organizations can continue to create equality of opportunity in this region we are so proud of. Starting April 18th until May 3rd you can use the button below to donate to Freedom Project Seattle and the Seattle Foundation will partially match funds we raise during #GiveBig.
In addition to the stretch funds from Seattle Foundation, an anonymous donor has given us a $30,000 matching grant in honor of our 15th Anniversary. That means if 2,000 people give $15 we will meet the match goal. Please share wide and far so we can meet our generous donor’s gift. Will you share this with 10 of your friends?
2,000 people x $15 = $30,000 match complete
1,000 people x $30 = $30,000 match complete
500 people x $60 = $30,000 match complete
300 people x $100 = $30,000 match complete
200 people x $150 = $30,000 match complete
Thank you for supporting our community.
As we entered our 15th year of serving Washington state, we put together a business plan that will help guide us for the next chapter. We would love to get your opinions, thoughts and ideas about what we put together. Please email Mano at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will schedule a time for one of our staff or board members to meet with you.
